The Simpsons is an animated sitcom about the antics of a dysfunctional family called the Simpsons (surprise surprise). The Simpsons are a typical family who live in a fictional "Middle American" town of Springfield.

 

Characters in The Simpsons Seasons 1-22 DVD, Homer, the father, works as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He is married to Marge Simpson, a stereotypical American housewife and mother. They have three children: Bart, a ten-year-old troublemaker; Lisa, a precocious eight-year-old activist; and Maggie, the baby of the family who rarely speaks. The family owns a dog and a cat which are important roles in the show. Many episodes examine their relationships and bonds with each other and they are often shown to care about one another.

 

Homer is the oafish unhealthy beer loving father, Marge is the hardworking homemaker wife, Bart is the ten year old underachiever (and proud of it), Lisa is the unappreciated eight year old genius, and Maggie is the cute, pacifier loving silent infant.

  The show has gone downhill with the jokes in the new seasons but still its fun to see and enjoy the old ones.

  Homer Simpson is the funniest character ever because he is so dumb that he is so funny. The writers are such geniuses come up with ideas for this cartoon. The cartoon show is always the classical.

  Great show, Lots of gags, not that much of a stupid plot. Also, no emphasis on Homer was good. The show has really evolved to more educated humor. "Futurama" is getting there."

  It is a perfect mirror of the American culture and has many memorable moments that will always be remembered. It's a great enjoyment to watch one episode each day.

  The Simpsons is a favorite cartoon show for my family, all my family members are loving this funny and cute show. I enjoy the time with my family. Fabulous!
